Madara's skin is darker like Itachi, they have that slight tan going on. Madara was taller and his hair is also darker. I find people really can't tell the difference between them, they draw Madara and label him Izuna which makes no sense to me since I can tell the difference.

Should the government be trying to control what I eat or if I should or should not smoke cigarettes? No, but are they trying to? Yes. There are plenty of real life attributes in Naruto, rather than question the manga, question reality. Fate isn't decided by people but by a chain of events. You can say the village set this chain of events in motion when they betrayed Madara or even before him when the Rikudou chose the younger son as his heir. The village did a lot of wrong, why should they be allowed to escape the consequences of their actions? This is what Pain was trying to tell Tsunade and Naruto. None of the villages have ever accepted responsibility for the pain, death and suffering they have caused, Madara's plan like Pain's can be looked as divine retribution. They caused this to happen and they need to deal with it then hopefully learn from the mistakes of the past so it will never happen again. Madara and Tobi are necessary evils.

But half the characters are already living a lie like Itachi and Sasuke. Itachi's mission was to kill his clan but Sasuke believed he did it out of hatred and selfishness, that lie caused Sasuke to go crazy. Gaara lived a lie thinking that his father and uncle really hated him. Naruto lives a lie, all those pictures of the 4th Hokage and no one ever told him, Naruto has the 9tails only because of Tobi fighting with the 4th, if they never fought, Naruto wouldn't have that power right now, he owes Tobi. So real countries who do this - kill few people to save more people, you consider them evil too? (I'm American, we killed the leader of a terrorist organization, I'm sure the terrorists sees us as evil but are we for killing their leader? We killed the leader to stop the terrorist for hurting innocent people.) Akatsuki wears the visage of evil but their intentions are pure. Why should they care? Who care? about Itachi's sufferings or Kisame when he was confused about being the comrade who had to kill his own comrades or when the leaf ninja murdered Nagato's parents? Who cared for them then? The other villages need to take the blame and own up the responsibility of having created the Akatsuki in a sense. I don't think Madara has a God Complex, I think Hashirama had one more than he did. See things from Madara's point of view.

I don't see this as an argument at all. The Akatsuki, Tobi and Madara are seriously misunderstood.

In Nagato's case, he was always a kind person, fighting at all shouldn't have been his path, he was really too sensitive to be a ninja, and Jiraiya could have explained himself better since Nagato misinterpreted his words about pain and growing up. Since Akatsuki started this war, aren't they also responsible for uniting and inspiring the villages to work together? Tobi did say it was his plan to start a war to bring peace. Having the villages work together against a common enemy was Tobi's idea, it had nothing to do with Naruto since he had been working on this before the kid was born. The Akatsuki employed real life military techniques for their solution of bringing peace. With the exception of Hidan who sacrificed people for his religion, the Akatsuki went after the jinchuuriki, they killed few to save many more lives and the people who were protecting the jinchuuriki can be labeled as "evil" just the same. I don't believe in free will, I believe in fate.

Everyone assumes that Madara is evil but if you follow the history of the Uchiha clan, people would realize that he has been right from the beginning. Tobi had the dumbest, most cliche reason for becoming a villain but he was also the most awesome at it. They are trying to put the world under an Infinite Tsukuyomi where no one "loses", Tobi already told Naruto that he would make him Hokage if he wanted that. They're the only villains who have different personalities as compared to the standard cliche villain of most anime, I like them more and want them to get what they want for all the injustices the Uchiha had to suffer.

I don't think Tobi is doing it for revenge, if he wanted revenge he could have been killed Kakashi. Obito had the dumbest reason to turn into a villain but his philosophy is sound I think, everyone wins at the expense of someone else. Let's ask ourselves why it is this way, why can't we all win? I think Madara is trying to make everything fair and equal. The Akatsuki weren't evil either, they were going after human weapons that were the cause of conflicts and because of what happened to Amegakure, Yahiko, Nagato and Konan understood war better than the other members I think.

@Blue Madara being evil depends on your point of view. I certainly don't see him nor Tobi/Obito as being evil, I'm also on their team and want them to win at all costs. They both do have a point and their philosophy is quite founded and rooted in real life.
